Description

Atorfit CV 20mg Capsule is a fixed-dose combination medication containing Atorvastatin and Clopidogrel, developed by Ajanta Pharma Ltd.

Composition:

• Atorvastatin (20 mg): A statin that inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in cholesterol synthesis in the liver. By reducing cholesterol production, Atorvastatin lowers low-density lipoprotein (LDL or “bad” cholesterol) and triglyceride levels, while increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL or “good” cholesterol).

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): An antiplatelet agent that prevents blood platelets from clumping together, thereby reducing the formation of blood clots. This action helps prevent events such as heart attacks and strokes.

Uses:

• Management of hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol levels)

• Prevention of cardiovascular events, including heart attacks and strokes

• Reduction of the risk of atherosclerotic events in patients with established cardiovascular disease

Dosage and Administration:

• Take one capsule daily, with or without food, as prescribed by your healthcare provider.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water; do not crush, chew, or break it.

• Maintain a cholesterol-lowering diet and engage in regular physical activity to enhance the effectiveness of the medication.
