AUGMENTIN DUO – SYP (30ml)

Description

Augmentin Duo Syrup (30ml) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic suspension specially formulated for pediatric use. It contains:

• Amoxicillin (as Amoxicillin Trihydrate) – a penicillin-class antibiotic that fights bacteria by preventing cell wall synthesis.

• Clavulanic Acid (as Potassium Clavulanate) – a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects amoxicillin from resistance caused by bacterial enzymes.

This powerful combination increases effectiveness against resistant bacterial strains, making it suitable for treating various childhood infections.

Indications (Uses):

Prescribed for children to treat:

• Upper and lower respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis)

• Otitis media (ear infections)

• Tonsillitis and pharyngitis

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Dental infections

Dosage & Administration:

• Route: Oral

• Dosage: Based on child’s body weight and age, as determined by a pediatrician

• Frequency: Usually every 12 hours

• Instructions:

  • Shake well before each use

  • Administer using a measuring spoon or dropper

  • Take with food to minimize stomach discomfort

  • Complete the full course even if symptoms improve
