AZAX – 500

Description

Azax 500 Tablet contains Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping bacterial growth. It is effective against a wide range of bacterial infections and is often prescribed when other antibiotics are ineffective or inappropriate.

 Dosage & Administration

• Typical Dosage: 500 mg once daily for 3 to 10 days, depending on the infection being treated. For some infections, a single higher dose of 1g or 2g may be prescribed.

• Administration: Take the tablet as a whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.

• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose—do not double the dose.

• Alcohol: It is advisable to avoid alcohol consumption while taking Azax 500 Tablet.

 Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Nausea and vomiting

• Stomach pain

• Chest pain

• Dizziness

• Fatigue

• Headache

• Rash

• Diarrhea

• Excessive gas in the stomach

• Photosensitivity of skin
