AZTOR EZ combines two powerful cholesterol-lowering agents: Atorvastatin and Ezetimibe. Atorvastatin is a statin that works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in cholesterol synthesis in the liver, effectively lowering LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides while increasing HDL (good cholesterol). Ezetimibe reduces the absorption of cholesterol from the intestines, complementing the action of Atorvastatin.
