Description

AZULIX SM IR 2/50/1000 Tablet is a triple-drug formulation designed to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It is prescribed when lifestyle changes and dual therapy are insufficient in maintaining adequate blood sugar control. The tablet includes:

• Glimepiride (2 mg) – a sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells.

• Sitagliptin (50 mg) – a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin levels, which in turn enhance insulin secretion and decrease glucagon levels in a glucose-dependent manner.
