Description

Bempesta 180 mg Tablet is a prescription medication that contains bempedoic acid, a cholesterol-lowering agent. It works by inhibiting the enzyme ATP citrate lyase, which plays a role in the production of cholesterol in the liver. By reducing cholesterol synthesis, Bempesta helps lower LDL cholesterol levels in the blood.

Key Uses:

• Management of primary hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol)

• Treatment of mixed dyslipidemia (imbalance of lipids)

• Reduction of cardiovascular risk in adults who cannot take statins

• Prevention of myocardial infarction (heart attack) in high-risk adults

• Decreasing the need for coronary revascularization in certain patients

Dosage and Administration:

• Recommended dose: 180 mg once daily

• Take with or without food

• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew
