Description

Bilahenz-M Tablet is a prescription medication used to treat various allergic conditions. It combines two active ingredients:

• Bilastine (20 mg): A non-sedating antihistamine that blocks histamine H₁ receptors, reducing symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes.

• Montelukast (10 mg): A leukotriene receptor antagonist that inhibits leukotrienes, substances in the body that cause inflammation and constriction of airways, thereby reducing symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis.

Uses:

• Management of allergic rhinitis symptoms, including sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes.

• Prevention and long-term treatment of asthma.

Dosage:

• Typically, one tablet daily, taken on an empty stomach (at least one hour before or two hours after meals).

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not chew or break.

Side Effects:

• Common: Headache, drowsiness, fatigue, upper respiratory infection, fever, pharyngitis, cough, abdominal pain, diarrhea, influenza, rhinorrhea, and sinusitis.

• Serious side effects are rare but may include allergic reactions such as swelling of the lips, face, throat, or tongue, and difficulty breathing.

Precautions:

• Consult your doctor before use if you have liver or kidney problems, asthma, or a history of mental health conditions.

• Avoid alcohol as it may increase the risk of side effects.

• Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding; consult your doctor for advice.

• May cause drowsiness or dizziness; exercise caution when driving or operating heavy machinery.
