Description

Bilazap M Syrup is a combination medication designed for pediatric patients to manage allergic conditions. It contains two active ingredients:

• Bilastine (10 mg per 5 mL): A second-generation antihistamine that selectively blocks H1 receptors, reducing symptoms like sneezing, itching, and runny nose.

• Montelukast (4 mg per 5 mL): A leukotriene receptor antagonist that inhibits leukotriene-mediated inflammation, helping to alleviate nasal congestion and other allergic symptoms.

This combination provides comprehensive relief from allergic rhinitis by targeting multiple pathways involved in allergic reactions.

Uses

Bilazap M Syrup is indicated for the treatment of:

• Allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) in children aged 6 to 11 years weighing at least 20 kg

Dosage and Administration

• Recommended dosage: As prescribed by the pediatrician, based on the child’s age and weight.

• Administration: Once daily, preferably on an empty stomach, at least one hour before or two hours after meals.

• Instructions: Shake the bottle well before use. Use the provided measuring device to ensure accurate dosing.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Headache

• Allergic conjunctivitis (eye irritation)

• Stuffy nose

• Stomach pain

• Hyperactivity

• Scaly and itchy skin, rash

• Thirst

If any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your child’s doctor.

Precautions

• Age: Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.

• Weight: Not recommended for children weighing less than 20 kg.

• Kidney or Liver Issues: Use with caution in children with kidney or liver problems.
