Description

Composition:

• Active Ingredient: Mirabegron 50 mg

Mechanism of Action:
Mirabegron activates beta-3 adrenergic receptors in the bladder, leading to relaxation of the detrusor muscle, which increases bladder capacity and reduces symptoms of overactive bladder.

Indications:

• Overactive bladder with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency, and urinary frequency.

Dosage:

• Initial dose: 25 mg orally once a day.

• Maintenance dose: 50 mg orally once a day, based on individual patient efficacy and tolerability.

Administration:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• May be taken with or without food.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

Side Effects:
Common side effects may include:

• Increased heart rate (tachycardia)

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Nausea

• Constipation

• Headache

• Dizziness

Serious side effects are rare but may include allergic reactions such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, which can cause difficulty breathing.

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with severe kidney or liver disease.

• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

• Regular monitoring of blood pressure may be necessary.
