Description

BRITEL AM Tablet is an antihypertensive medication that combines two active ingredients: Telmisartan (40 mg) and Amlodipine (5 mg). Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that helps relax blood vessels by blocking the action of certain substances that cause blood vessels to tighten. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) that relaxes and widens blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood.

Together, these components effectively lower high blood pressure, reducing the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This medication is typically prescribed when monotherapy is insufficient to control blood pressure.

Common Side Effects may include:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Swelling of the ankles or feet (edema)

• Fatigue or tiredness

• Flushing

• Headache

• Palpitations

• Upset stomach

Precautions:

• Pregnancy: Not recommended during pregnancy due to potential harm to the developing fetus.

• Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor before use.
