Uses:

How It Works:
Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict. By inhibiting this action, Telmisartan helps relax and widen blood vessels, leading to lower blood pressure.

Dosage:

• Take one tablet daily, with or without food.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush.

• Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding dosage and duration.

Side Effects:

• Common: Diarrhea, sinus infection, back pain, low blood pressure.

• Serious: Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat (angioedema), which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing.
