Description

Uses:

• Management of hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Reduction in the risk of heart attack and stroke

How It Works:

• Telmisartan: An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood.

• Metoprolol Succinate: A beta-blocker that slows down the heart rate and reduces the force of the heart’s contractions, thereby lowering blood pressure.

Dosage:

• Take one tablet daily, preferably at the same time each day.

• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not chew or crush.

• Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding dosage adjustments.

Side Effects:

• Common: Dizziness, fatigue, headache, nausea, and diarrhea.

• Serious: Slow heart rate, low blood pressure, shortness of breath, and swelling of the ankles or feet.
