Candid Gold Cream 50g is an antifungal cream containing Clotrimazole 1% w/w, manufactured by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It is used to treat various superficial fungal skin infections, including ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, and candidiasis. The cream works by disrupting the cell membrane of fungi, leading to their death and alleviating symptoms such as itching, redness, and irritation.
Description
Candid Gold Cream 50g is a topical antifungal medication designed to combat superficial fungal skin infections. The active ingredient, Clotrimazole, is an imidazole antifungal that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption increases the permeability of the fungal cell membrane, leading to leakage of cellular contents and ultimately causing cell death.
