Description

CANDIDOX CREAM is a topical antifungal medication formulated with Ciclopirox Olamine 1%. It is indicated for the treatment of superficial fungal infections, including:

• Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot)

• Tinea cruris (jock itch)

• Tinea corporis (ringworm)

• Candidiasis (yeast infections)

• Tinea versicolor (pityriasis versicolor)

Ciclopirox works by chelating metal ions, disrupting fungal cell membrane integrity, and inhibiting enzymes essential for fungal growth. Additionally, it possesses anti-inflammatory properties, helping to alleviate associated symptoms like redness and itching. The cream is designed for external use only and should be applied to clean, dry skin.

Dosage and Application:

• Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice daily, as directed by your healthcare provider.

• Continue use for the prescribed duration, even if symptoms improve, to ensure complete eradication of the infection.

• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.

• If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

Precautions:

• Not recommended for children under 10 years of age due to limited safety data.
