Description

Cardivas 12.5mg Tablet is a prescription medicine that contains Carvedilol (12.5mg), a non-selective beta-blocker with alpha-blocking activity. It is primarily used for:

• Hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Chronic heart failure

• Angina pectoris (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart)

• To improve survival after a heart attack

Carvedilol works by blocking beta-adrenergic receptors in the heart and blood vessels, leading to reduced heart rate, lowered blood pressure, and decreased strain on the heart. Its dual action (beta + alpha blockade) makes it effective in managing heart failure and improving cardiac output.
