Description

Cardivas 25mg Tablet is a prescription medication that contains Carvedilol (25mg), a non-selective beta-blocker with alpha-1 blocking properties, used to treat:

• Hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Congestive heart failure

• Angina pectoris (chest pain)

• Post-myocardial infarction (after heart attack) to improve survival

Carvedilol works by relaxing blood vessels (via alpha-blockade) and slowing the heart rate (via beta-blockade), thereby reducing the heart’s workload and improving its efficiency. This higher-strength 25mg formulation is typically prescribed when lower doses are insufficient for therapeutic effect, especially in heart failure patients.
