CAREPROST LS EYE DROP

Description

Careprost LS Eye Drops are formulated with 0.01% Bimatoprost, a prostaglandin analog that effectively lowers intraocular pressure by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor from the eye. This medication is commonly prescribed for:

• Open-angle glaucoma

• Ocular hypertension

Dosage:

• Instill one drop into the affected eye(s) once daily, preferably in the evening.

• If using other eye medications, wait at least 5–10 minutes between applications to prevent dilution.

• After instillation, apply gentle pressure to the inner corner of the eye for about 1 minute to minimize systemic absorption.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

• Eye redness

• Itching or burning sensation

• Dry eyes

• Increased eyelash growth

• Darkening of the iris (may be permanent)

These effects are typically mild and often resolve upon discontinuation of the medication.

Precautions:

• Avoid using contact lenses during application; remove them before instillation and wait at least 15 minutes before reinsertion.

• Consult your doctor if you have a history of eye inflammation, macular edema, or corneal disease.

• Use with caution if pregnant or breastfeeding; consult your healthcare provider for guidance.
