Mechanism of Action:
Hydroxychloroquine modulates the immune response by reducing inflammation and altering the communication of immune cells. In malaria, it interferes with the growth of parasites in red blood cells. In type 2 diabetes, it may enhance insulin sensitivity.
Dosage and Administration:

Rheumatoid Arthritis: Initial dose of 400–600 mg daily; maintenance dose of 200–400 mg daily.
