Description

CEFRYTH SL 1.5 INJ is a broad-spectrum antibiotic formulation combining Ceftriaxone 1000 mg, a third-generation cephalosporin, with Sulbactam 500 mg, a β-lactamase inhibitor. This combination enhances the efficacy of Ceftriaxone against resistant bacterial strains by preventing the breakdown of the antibiotic.

This injection is indicated for the treatment of various severe bacterial infections, including:

• Respiratory tract infections: Pneumonia, bronchitis

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Intra-abdominal infections

• Pelvic inflammatory disease

• Meningitis

• Septicemia

• Gonorrhea

Mechanism of Action:

• Ceftriaxone: Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.

• Sulbactam: Inhibits β-lactamase enzymes produced by bacteria, protecting Ceftriaxone from degradation and extending its spectrum of activity.
