CETAPIN V-0.3 – TAB

Description

Cetapin V 0.3mg Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic agents:

• Metformin (500 mg): A biguanide that decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.

• Voglibose (0.3 mg): An alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that delays carbohydrate absorption in the intestines, reducing postprandial blood sugar spikes.

This synergistic formulation is indicated as a second-line therapy for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when monotherapy with diet, exercise, and a single agent does not achieve adequate glycemic control.

Usage Instructions:

• Take the tablet with meals to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.

• Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew.

• Dosage should be as prescribed by your physician, based on individual health status and response to treatment

Precautions:

• Not recommended for use in:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women.

  • Children under 18 years of age.

  • Individuals with severe kidney or liver impairment, heart conditions, or a history of lactic acidosis.

• Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment.

• Use with caution in elderly patients; regular monitoring of kidney function is advised.

Common Side Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain.

• Headache, dizziness, general weakness.

• Hypoglycemia (especially when combined with other antidiabetic medications).
