Cetapin V 0.3mg Tablet is a prescription medication used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. It combines Metformin and Voglibose to effectively control blood sugar levels, especially after meals. This tablet is typically prescribed when diet, exercise, and single-agent therapy do not provide adequate glycemic control.
Description
Cetapin V 0.3mg Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic agents:
-
Metformin (500 mg): A biguanide that decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.
-
Voglibose (0.3 mg): An alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that delays carbohydrate absorption in the intestines, reducing postprandial blood sugar spikes.
This synergistic formulation is indicated as a second-line therapy for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when monotherapy with diet, exercise, and a single agent does not achieve adequate glycemic control.
