Description

Chericof Cough Syrup is manufactured by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. and is formulated to provide symptomatic relief from dry cough and upper respiratory tract symptoms. The active ingredients work synergistically to address multiple symptoms:

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide: Acts centrally to suppress the cough reflex, providing relief from persistent, non-productive coughs.

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate: Blocks histamine receptors, reducing allergic reactions such as sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes.

• Phenylephrine Hydrochloride: Reduces nasal congestion by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages, facilitating easier breathing.

Indications:

• Dry (non-productive) cough

• Nasal congestion

• Allergic rhinitis

• Symptoms associated with the common cold

Dosage:

• Adults: 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) every 4–6 hours, not exceeding 60 ml in 24 hours.

• Children (6–12 years): 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) every 4–6 hours.

• Children (2–6 years): 2.5 ml (½ teaspoonful) every 4–6 hours.
