Description

• Active Ingredient: Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride 250 mg

Indications:
Cifran 250 mg Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of bacterial infections such as:

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Pneumonia

• Typhoid fever

• Infectious diarrhea

• Gonorrhea

• Skin, bone, joint, abdominal, and prostate infections

Dosage:

• Typical Adult Dosage: 250–500 mg twice daily for 7–14 days, depending on the infection type and severity.

• Administration: Can be taken with or without food.

• Precautions: Avoid taking with antacids, dairy products, or multivitamins containing minerals within 2 hours before or after the dose, as they may affect absorption.

Common Side Effects:

• Nausea and vomiting

• Diarrhea

• Stomach pain

• Headache

• Dizziness

• Rash

Serious Side Effects:

• Tendonitis or tendon rupture (especially in older adults)

• Seizures

• Heart rhythm disturbances

• Liver enzyme elevation

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or other quinolones

• History of tendon disorders related to quinolone use

• Myasthenia gravis

Pregnancy and Lactation:

• Not recommended during pregnancy due to potential risks to the developing fetus.

• Consult a healthcare provider before use during breastfeeding.
