Description

Composition:

• Ciprofloxacin: A broad-spectrum antibiotic that targets bacterial DNA gyrase, preventing DNA replication and transcription, leading to bacterial cell death.

• Tinidazole: An antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent that disrupts the DNA of microorganisms, leading to their death.

Indications:

Cifran CT H Tablet is prescribed for:

• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)

• Gastrointestinal Infections: Including acute diarrhea and dysentery

• Gynecological Infections

• Respiratory Tract Infections

• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections

• Abdominal Infections

Dosage:

• Typical Adult Dosage: 1 tablet twice daily, taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals, or as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

• Duration: Usually 7–10 days, depending on the infection type and severity.

Common Side Effects:

• Nausea and vomiting

• Diarrhea

• Stomach pain or cramps

• Headache

• Dizziness

• Loss of appetite

• Metallic taste

• Dry mouth

Serious Side Effects:

• Tendonitis or tendon rupture (especially in older adults)

• Seizures

• Heart rhythm disturbances

• Liver enzyme elevation

Precautions:

• Pregnancy: Should be avoided during pregnancy due to potential risks to the developing fetus.

• Breastfeeding: Consult a healthcare provider before use during breastfeeding.
