Description

How It Works:

Cilnidipine inhibits the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle cells, leading to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. This action decreases the workload on the heart and helps prevent cardiovascular events.

Dosage & Administration:

• Typical Adult Dosage: One tablet once daily, with or without food.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.

• Consistency: Take at the same time each day to maintain steady blood pressure control.

• Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s close to your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double up.

• Overdose: In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms may include dizziness, fainting, or rapid heartbeat.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Headache

• Fatigue

• Swelling of ankles or feet

• Flushing

• Palpitation

Serious Side Effects (Seek medical attention):

• Severe hypotension (very low blood pressure)

• Irregular heartbeat

• Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)

Precautions:
