CIPLOX EYE DROPS

Description

CIPLOX Eye Drops, manufactured by Cipla Ltd., is a sterile ophthalmic solution containing Ciprofloxacin 0.3%. Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme essential for bacterial DNA replication, thereby preventing bacterial growth.

Indications:

• Bacterial Conjunctivitis

• Corneal Ulcers

• Other Bacterial Eye Infections

Dosage:

• Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 2 hours while awake for the first 2 days, then reduce to 1–2 drops every 4 hours for the next 5 days.

Side Effects:

• Temporary stinging or burning sensation in the eye

• Redness or irritation

• Itching or swelling

• Unusual taste

Precautions:

• Avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment.

• Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.

• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
