Mechanism of Action

Escitalopram selectively inhibits the reuptake of serotonin by presynaptic neurons, increasing serotonin levels in the synaptic cleft. This enhancement of serotonin neurotransmission helps improve mood and alleviate anxiety symptoms.

Precautions
