CLAVAM – DROPS

Description

Clavam Drops combines Amoxicillin, a penicillin-class antibiotic, with Clavulanic Acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination enhances the efficacy of Amoxicillin against bacteria that produce beta-lactamase enzymes, which would otherwise render Amoxicillin ineffective.

Uses:

• Respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis)

• Urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Middle ear infections (otitis media)

• Sinusitis

• Bone and joint infections

Dosage:
The dosage varies based on the child’s age, weight, and the severity of the infection. It’s typically administered every 8 hours, but the exact schedule should be determined by a pediatrician.

Administration:
Clavam Drops should be taken orally, with or without food. It’s essential to follow the prescribed dosage and complete the full course of treatment, even if the child feels better before finishing the medication.

Side Effects:

Serious allergic reactions are rare but can occur. Seek immediate medical attention if symptoms like swelling of the face or difficulty breathing develop.
