Description

Clofranil Tablet contains Clomipramine, a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) that works by increasing levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain. It is primarily used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), but may also be prescribed for depression, panic disorders, and certain types of chronic pain. Clofranil helps reduce obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors, and improves mood, energy, and interest in daily life. It should be taken exactly as prescribed, usually starting with a low dose that is gradually increased. Common side effects may include dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, and constipation. Close monitoring is essential, especially during dose adjustments.
