Description

Clofur CV Tablet is a combination antibiotic containing Cefuroxime Axetil (a second-generation cephalosporin) and Clavulanic Acid (a beta-lactamase inhibitor). This combination works effectively against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria by stopping their growth and preventing resistance. Clofur CV is commonly prescribed for infections such as tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin infections, and post-surgical infections. Clavulanic acid enhances the action of cefuroxime by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria. It should be taken as directed by a physician, preferably after food to enhance absorption and reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.
