Description

CORABRAD 5 mg Tablet is a prescription medication formulated with Ivabradine, which belongs to the class of hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated (HCN) channel blockers. It is primarily indicated for:

• Symptomatic stable angina pectoris in adult patients with a resting heart rate of ≥70 beats per minute.

• Chronic heart failure in adult patients with a resting heart rate of ≥75 beats per minute.

By selectively inhibiting the If current in the sinoatrial node, Ivabradine reduces the heart rate without affecting myocardial contractility or ventricular repolarization, leading to decreased myocardial oxygen consumption and improved cardiac efficiency.

Dosage and Administration:

• Take CORABRAD 5 mg Tablet orally with food, as directed by your physician.

• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew.

• The dosage is individualized based on patient response and clinical condition.

Common Side Effects:

• Bradycardia (slow heart rate)

• Luminous phenomena (transient enhanced brightness in vision)

• Atrial fibrillation

• Dizziness

• Headache

• Blurred vision

Precautions:

• Not recommended for patients with acute decompensated heart failure, severe hypotension, or severe hepatic impairment.

• Use with caution in patients with atrial fibrillation or other cardiac arrhythmias.

• Avoid concomitant use with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors.

• Not advised during pregnancy and lactation.
