 Uses

Corbis 5 mg Tablet is utilized in the treatment of:

• Hypertension: Helps lower blood pressure, reducing the risk of strokes and heart attacks.

• Angina: Alleviates chest pain by improving oxygen supply to the heart muscle.

• Arrhythmia: Stabilizes irregular heartbeats, particularly in conditions like atrial fibrillation.

• Heart Failure: Enhances heart function and reduces symptoms associated with heart failure.

• Prevention of Heart Attacks: Decreases the likelihood of future heart attacks by reducing cardiac workload.

• Migraine Prevention: Though the exact mechanism is unclear, it helps in reducing the frequency of migraine attacks.

 Mechanism of Action

Bisoprolol selectively blocks beta-1 adrenergic receptors in the heart. This action:

• Slows down the heart rate.

• Reduces the force of heart muscle contraction.

• Lowers blood pressure.

• Decreases the heart’s oxygen demand.

 Dosage & Administration

• Dosage: As prescribed by your doctor, based on your medical condition.

• Administration: Take orally with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.

• Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s close to the next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose.

 Precautions

• Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Not recommended; consult your doctor.
