Description

Cortel H 40 Tablet is prescribed when a single antihypertensive agent does not adequately control blood pressure. The dual action of Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide provides effective blood pressure management:

• Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that prevents blood vessel constriction, thereby lowering blood pressure.

• Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide-like diuretic that increases urine output, reducing fluid volume and further aiding in blood pressure reduction.

 Dosage and Administration

• Dosage: Typically, one tablet daily, as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with or without food.

• Timing: Preferably taken at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

 Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Ankle swelling
