Description

Coscopin Paed Suspension is a pediatric cough syrup that effectively addresses dry coughs by combining three active ingredients:

• Ammonium Chloride (7 mg/5 ml): Acts as an expectorant, reducing mucus stickiness and aiding in its clearance from the airways.

• Noscapine (1.83 mg/5 ml): Functions as a cough suppressant by blocking nerve signals in the brain’s cough center, thereby decreasing the urge to cough.

• Sodium Citrate (0.67 mg/5 ml): Serves as a mucolytic agent, thinning and loosening phlegm in the lungs and airways, facilitating easier expulsion.

This combination provides a multi-faceted approach to managing dry coughs, making it easier for children to clear their airways and find relief. It’s important to administer this medication under the guidance of a healthcare professional to ensure appropriate dosing and safety.

 Dosage & Administration

• Administration: Oral suspension

• Dosage: As prescribed by a healthcare provider. Typically, the dosage is based on the child’s age and weight.

• Instructions: Shake the bottle well before use. Use the provided measuring cup or spoon to ensure accurate dosing. Can be taken with or without food.

• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, administer it as soon as remembered. If it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose; do not double the dose.
