Cosmelite Cream is a prescription-only topical medication used to treat melasma, a condition characterized by dark, discolored patches on the skin. It combines three active ingredients—Hydroquinone (2%), Tretinoin (0.025%), and Mometasone Furoate (0.1%)—to lighten skin tone, reduce pigmentation, and alleviate associated inflammation. This combination therapy is effective for moderate to severe cases of melasma, especially when other treatments have not yielded satisfactory results.

Description

Cosmelite Cream is formulated to address hyperpigmentation and inflammatory skin conditions. Each gram of the cream contains:

  • Hydroquinone (2%): A skin-lightening agent that inhibits melanin production, leading to a reduction in dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

  • Tretinoin (0.025%): A form of vitamin A that promotes skin cell turnover, helping to shed pigmented skin cells and reduce the appearance of dark patches.

  • Mometasone Furoate (0.1%): A corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, and swelling associated with skin conditions.

This combination works synergistically to lighten skin, reduce inflammation, and promote even skin tone. It’s typically prescribed for short-term use under medical supervision due to the potency of the corticosteroid component.
