Description

Coversyl 4mg Tablet is a prescription medication manufactured by Servier India Pvt Ltd, containing 4mg of Perindopril tert-butylamine. Perindopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that works by relaxing blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood and lowering blood pressure.

Key Uses:

• Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): Lowers blood pressure to reduce the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.

• Heart Failure: Improves symptoms and reduces the risk of hospitalization.

• Post-Heart Attack: Helps in recovery and reduces the risk of further cardiac events.

Dosage and Administration:

• The usual starting dose is 4mg once daily, preferably in the morning before a meal.

• Depending on the patient’s response, the dose may be increased to 8mg daily after one month.

• For heart failure, the starting dose is 2mg daily, which may be increased to 4mg daily after 15 days.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Fatigue

• Headache

• Dry cough

• Elevated potassium levels

• Nausea or upset stomach

Precautions:

• Avoid use during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters.
